• How to keep the Social in Social Media Websites
    By: Sandy F.

If you are involved in business, you know that advertising your product can bring dividends – but that advertising can be expensive.

That is, unless you take advantage of the many free social media sites online. What could be better than free advertising, right?

The thing is, free also has a price, and that price is time.

After all, if you've ever created a profile page and a fan page on Facebook, or signed up for Twitter, you're amazed by how many people out there who seem like they want to be your friend.

It's even fun for a while. Your high school friends find you and maybe even some people you work with are online, so they track you down too.

And faithfully, you keep working to make you and your website stand out higher than all of the other ones out there.

And then suddenly, the thrill is gone.

But what if there was a way to keep your profile going, even if you've kind of lost interest in it?

There are so many programs to help you out, so you can get some great profit from that free advertising once again.

Here's some great and quick ways to make that profile green again:

    1. www.networkedblogs.com. This website is connected with Network Blogs Facebook application, so you'll need to belong to Facebook to use it. You just click the button on the website, or go to the application site at http://www.facebook.com/networkedblogs and allow the application to be used with your profile, and then connect your blog to it. And then, every time your blog updates, it puts a link right on your Facebook profile for all of your followers to see. More than 300,000 blogs are using this application, and many have reported dramatically increased traffic and more affiliate revenues.

    1. www.tweetdeck.com: This is a customized browser you'll have to download to your computer or even your iPhone. Once it's there, it allows you to connect with your contacts on Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn and more, all in one browser.

    2. Www.mozilla.com. This is a link so you can download the Firefox browser. You would want it because it has all kinds of great add-ons, including AddThis, located at www.addthis.com This will give you a lineup, right at the top of your browser, that will allow you to add links to literally hundreds of social media sites. You probably never have heard of these sites, but millions of companies have, including Budweiser, American Idol and eBay, all of whom use this.

Now, it will take just a little work to get these tools going, but once you do, you'll be amazed at how much easier, and more enjoyable, those social media marketing chores of yours are.
