Italians Protest Plans to Privatize Water

Hundreds gathered in Rome with a demand for Italy's new Prime Minister: Don't touch the water supply. They held blue balloons and called on Mario Monti not to privatize public utilities including water. Italians voted against privatization in a referendum in June.
